Dominium Domains, Privacy Policy
Last Revised: July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Dominium Domains ("Dominium Domains," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit www.dominiumdomains.com (the "Site"), make an inquiry or offer, or purchase a domain name from us. It also describes your privacy rights, including rights under California law. Dominium Domains is operated by Alexandre Willems, doing business as Dominium Domains, based in Topanga Canyon, California.
By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Scope: When We Are the Controller
This Policy applies to personal information we collect and use for our own purposes as the business responsible for it (the "controller"). It does not apply to personal information handled by third parties for their own purposes. In particular, when you pay through a payment processor (for example, Stripe), buy through a marketplace (for example, Afternic or eBay), or complete a transaction through an escrow service (for example, Escrow.com), those companies collect and handle your information under their own privacy policies as independent controllers. We encourage you to review their policies for how they handle your data.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, and any details you include when you contact us, make an inquiry or offer, or complete a purchase. For transfers, this includes the registrar account or registrant details needed to deliver a domain to you.
- Payment information: when you buy from us, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store your full card number; we receive only limited transaction details (such as confirmation of payment and the billing name/email) from the processor.
- Information collected automatically: when you visit the Site, we and our analytics providers may collect your IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar usage data through cookies and similar technologies.
- Information from other sources: we may receive information from marketplaces or escrow services when a sale runs through them, and from publicly available sources (for example, domain WHOIS/RDAP records) in the ordinary course of buying and selling domains.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries and offers and communicate with you;
- process purchases and transfer domain names to you;
- provide customer support and resolve disputes;
- operate, secure, and improve the Site;
- detect and prevent fraud and other unlawful activity;
- send you information about your transaction and, where permitted, occasional updates about our listings (you can opt out at any time); and
- comply with our legal obligations.
4. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties for money, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. If this ever changes, we will update this Policy and provide any opt-out the law requires.
5. When We Share Information
We disclose personal information only as needed to run our business, specifically:
- to service providers who process payments, host the Site, provide analytics, or support customer service, acting on our instructions;
- to marketplaces, escrow services, and registrars as necessary to complete a sale or transfer you have requested;
- to comply with law, respond to lawful requests from authorities, protect our legal rights, prevent harm, and enforce our Terms; and
- in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of our business or assets, in which case relevant information may pass to the successor.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and understand how the Site is used. Some cookies are essential; others are optional (for example, analytics). We may use providers such as Google Analytics to measure Site performance.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the Site may not work. We recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar universal opt-out signals where applicable law requires. There is no accepted standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, and we do not currently respond to them.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
- access a copy of your personal information;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete your personal information;
- opt out of marketing communications; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@dominiumdomains.com. We will verify your request (usually by confirming details associated with your information) and respond within the time required by law, generally within 45 days for California requests. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we cannot honor a request, we will explain why.
8. California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the rights listed in Section 7, including the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As stated in Section 4, we do not sell or share your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, contact us at support@dominiumdomains.com.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including to complete a transaction, provide support, keep business and tax records, and comply with law. When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it.
10. Security
We use reasonable, risk-based measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any account credentials you use with third-party registrars, marketplaces, or payment services secure.
11. Children
The Site is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at support@dominiumdomains.com and we will delete it.
12. International Visitors
We operate in the United States, and information we collect is processed here. If you visit from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last Revised" date above. Material changes will not reduce your rights with respect to information already collected without your consent where consent is required.
